Adobe’s HTML 5 player
Adobe’s new video player plays html 5 video in browsers that support it and falls back to flash on the ones that don’t, thus effectively making it cross-platform.
So, from now on users on iPad and iPhone and other devices that do not support Flash can view videos embedded in web pages that previously greeted them with a ‘Flash required’ message. Adobe’s this move was probably inspired by the criticism that Flash came under a while back owing to the stability and performance issues related to the Flash browser plug-in.
The developers can use the HTML5 Video Player widget directly from within Dreamweaver and insert the required code and files for the video player with point and click simplicity, however if you are not a Dreamweaver user you can download the Widget Broswser independently (Adobe AIR required).
